The Importance of Listening to the Living Christ

We cannot expect to create catechism, if you will, life transforming reality and turn people into mature Christians through a 45-50 minute sermon on Sunday. The servant leader needs to be a mediator that actually helps people get in touch with the real Jesus. I don't want to be an expert in the things of Jesus, but not know the actual Jesus that I'm learning about. We all are called to preach Christ crucified. This is what we call reproducing the good character. And it's a mentoring that comes through action and through illustrating what it is.
