The Walled City

The walled city was an illegal place when Britain and China in the 19th century made the agreement about Hong Kong being ceded to Britain. It's a bit like the city of London within Kowloon. They said we don't care whether it's British or Chinese. We have our own government. So they were excluded from the treaty. A few years later, Britain said to China,.
