Sega vs Nintendo - The Video Game Wars
Saga launched what it called a video face off, something that was similar to the papsy challenge of the 19 seventies. Saga had muscled its way in to capture 25 % of the home video game market in a year. Sega released the original version of mortal combat with all the blood and guts included. Nintendo, on the other hand, released a censored version that, among other things, changed the red blood that squirted out of injured combatants to green.
