What Happened to Phantom References?
phantom references are interesting because te besicly help you be notified when my object is going away. It it's a place to get a call back so that you can its kind of manually created finalizer y. The idea, originally, i believe, was something along the lines of lakwell, when we read in memory, we god a stapt cleaning up the soft references. For a while, id only if art was doing this, but dalvic was doing it.
