nonviolent communication really came out of that understanding that oftentimes when there's a lot of emotion or conflict, people get derailed in their communication. And actually how they communicate make things worse. The first step is to try to be non-judgmental and more factual than kind of coloring things with assumptions already or judgments. Then the second step is you talk about your feelings, okay, so the eye statements, which are not easy because often what we do is you do this, you do that, you don't do this.
