At the end of every American Airlines flight, a flight attendant gets on to sell credit cards. If you just spend $1, you get 75,000 points, which gets you two free tickets. But for every one of you, there's probably nine other people who either spend way more than $1 and don't actually ever redeem those points. "I just spent $1 to have like two great flights," he says.
