The virus is allowed to mutate. It's entirely plausible that this could mutate into something really quite a lot worse, you know. If we reduce the amount of virus out there, then something like that becomes less and less likely. But i think it's very hard and essentially politically impossible, to re impose any large scale, non pharmacucal interventions other than maybe mask wearing in big public places.
