The Paradox of Life on Earth
Francis Crick said that maybe there was some special substance on another planet that we don't have here, maybe kryptonite or something like that. Eugene Kuhnen says that the problems with imagining an origin of life on Earth are so great that maybe we are the lucky universe in 10 to 1,000th power universes. So essentially... Man, that's lucky. But it becomes funny, again, I approach this stuff from a popular level, but it's always a staggering thing to see people that you're supposed to respect, like scientists, resorting to that kind of chicaneary and foolishness.
