The Role of Background Radiation in Children

The rates of CT in the US were upwards of 50% for kids with minor head injury and so that was sort of the impetus for figuring out if we could do better. I think we're doing a lot better now because there's been a lot more attention paid to the fact that kids are more radio sensitive than adults. We should be trying to minimize the exposure of children to radiation certainly but we need to do it when we need toDo it right.
