The Story of the Instagram Quiet Time

The term quiet time was first popularized in a pamphlet published by the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. What used to be called the morning watch, a time focused on reading the word and intercessory prayer, changed in focus from praying to God to listening for God. Cultural Christianity emphasized the individual as opposed to the believer's effect on her community.
