The book is a parable of sorts, and it's hilarious. It tells the story of a father, that's god, who has three sons,. Those are different branches of the christian church. As time goes on, fashions change. And they desperately want to fit the fashions of the world. They desperatly want to just keep up. But it's hard to do since the fashion keeps changing. Some of it, they begin to wrest the scriptures to their own destruction. In fact, eventually they are so sick tired of even trying to stick with any interpretation of the will that they just lock it up in a box for protection.
