The Economic Background of the Museum in the 1920s

In the 1920s and 1930s, there was a rapid effort to sort of move towards recovery and then a lot of forgetting about the challenges that have been faced previously. There's still a lot of like historical forgetting happening in that moment that is honestly quite reminiscent of what we're going through now. To what extent will people really remember a few years later the intensity of the racial conversation that's been happening? I think a lot of critics would point to a lot of active forgetting already taking place.
