Stephen Johnson: I think that church, the gathering of Christians, should look different after 2000 years of Christian theological history than it would have at the beginning. There would be a lot less room for pointless theological disputes about predestination and free will or, you know, hyper precise interpretations of the doctrine of the atonement," he says.
