The Reciprocal Relationship With Jesus Christ
Elder Mcconkey says salvation is a personal matter. It comes only to those who keep the commandments whose souls are filled with the Holy Spirit of God. No one can gain the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit in their life and sell it to somebody else. Every person must light in his own lamp with the oil of righteousness which he buys at the market of obedience. Being ready for Jesus is being connected to him personally, building his kingdom and taking care of others.
