The Black Face
One of the key aspects of many of the portraits is the use of black paint on your body. I wonder if you could explain the use of that paint, because it has all sorts of connotations,. both in terms of art, historical terms and in cultural terms. Ah, i thought it doing that in 20 15. It was very, to me intuitive at the time. However, obviously i've done a lot of research since then, and what is called like or doing black face has, you know, all these kinds of deep and and sometimes very painful histories.
