Is This a Concerning Disrespect?

Teacher: A student is a leader in the class room, which actually might be more negative and positive. We would really like to see him learn to use leadership skills used in a positive way before he goes to middle school. Once in middle school, our concerns it will be easy for him to connectth and potentially become involved with gang activity based on some of his pacts. Thank you in advance for any advice.
