Coaching is not just a mental process. We can learn without the ability to articulate. Sometimes you don't. Or you end up falling back to platitudes. So learning by doing is far more likely to achieve results. I famously ran an experiment in IBM, which I was never quite forgiven for,. In which we did a control test between Myers Briggs and astrology. And we proved that astrology was more accurate than Myers Briggs in predicting team behavior.
