Low Aspirin Usage in Low-Income Countries

This chapter discusses a multinational study that analyzed the use of aspirin after patients suffered a heart attack. The study found that despite the effectiveness and affordability of aspirin, only a low percentage of eligible patients in low-income and lower-middle income countries were taking the drug. In contrast, wealthy countries like the U.S. had higher rates of aspirin usage.
