The Different Cardiovascular Systems of Older Adults
The cardiovascular system of older adults is much less forgiving. They come with stiff hearts or hearts that are not pumping ideally at baseline in many cases. So you really want to be more judicious and thoughtful. And the nice thing about working with emergency physicians is that most of you guys are very facile with ultrasound. It's a great situation to use bedside ultrasound to guide your resuscitation.
