The Battle of El Alabane - A Brief History
The Lufthorf are suffering from the fact that actually these African battles are at the back of the queue, really. They've been playing a very full on role in the destruction of Malta. And then they're moved kind of locked stock and barrel over to North Africa to support Rommel's force. But the commander-in-chief of the Lufthorp in North Africa in Libya is a chap called General von Baldau who does not get on with Rommel. There has never been the same conversation that there has been in the autumn of 1941. Where it has been decided that air commanders should decide all the targets.
