In a state where you're getting a state tax deduction, this is a good idea. But if you're literally just putting it in and then taking it right out and payin tuition with it, there's no point to do ing that in your state. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about the cost basis in my five 29. When i put that money in there, i have committed that money to education. If my kids don't use it, my grand kids are going to use it. And so i don't think about the cost based there. Maybe it's worth it for you, but i kind of doubt it.
