Is Tolkien Racist?

Tolkien was born a Victorian, so difficult to be racist. C.S. Lewis was more conservative religiously and societally. But how many Victorians turned their art into a rigid demarcation between black and white people? That's the transmogrification to use an unnecessarily long word of racism into art. P.E.E.
