Is Colonization of Space Inevitable?

On the podcast, we are big fans of science fiction. And so we love talking about the science of some of these alternate universes and hearing about the process of creating them. Do you feel like colonization of space is inevitable? I don't know if inevitable, but it definitely sounds interesting and fun and cool and dangerous for the first people who do it.
