The key is going to be inflation. If inflation starts to show signs of easing, then they won't have to raise rates quite as high and that would increase the chances they'll pull off. They've already almost given up on a soft landing where, you know, everything is perfect but unemployment doesn't go up. It it seems now, the softish landing means we're going to get some pain in the economy and probably in the jobs market, but we won't get a recession.
