Foucault's Genealogical Method for Lo-Fi Music

Foucault for me was a way to confront one of my biggest fear coming into the project, which was writing like the definitive history of lo-fi writing. I didn't want to do that because there was, there was like this underlying fear. Foucault's genealogical method is a method according to which you seek out the points of rupture where one paradigm gives way to another. So it is a non-conservative non-linear way of making history in a sense,. Not making history but making like a narrative of how I don't know power unfolded in this or that century.
