Wealth is a power that can prevent us from entering the kingdom. The disciples have shown their loyalty to christ and their faith in jesus by their actions. They have left everything to follow him, and they will be richly blessed. We gain much as we follow jesus. Even in this present the need to receive god's kingdom from a position of lack or destitution is a recurring theme within luke 18. In receiving the kingdom as a little child, we do so as those who are weak and dependent.
