I Don't Want to Pay Up, Right?
The trend of civilian labor force growth has been slowing down for many years. The parts of the US that did not have prime age labor force or any kind of migration, it's hard to get that labor so the Federal Reserve is now forced to try to break up the labor market. This problem does not simply go away on its own because people age, they retire and then die. Other countries like Japan and Europe and China, their population growth for prime age people are falling. So we have the demand that needs more labor. And I think it's a very good wake up call. If you fell for the robots killing all the job immigration act, that's on you.
