When I was in college, my roommate was a philosophy major. Arnie was very influential on my thinking. And it's because he was very good at challenging me, challenging my weak suppositions. That makes people mad. People are getting mad because people are challenging them to think. The best kind of philosophy where they actually learn about a topic and think hard about it can be very useful.
