Next time you feel the urge to check your phone in a moment of boredom or distraction, tell yourself to wait just 10 minutes. It's likely that once the 10 minutes are over, your urge will be over. And again and again, you get better and better at estimating how long things will take you to complete so that you eliminate the planning fallacy.
