A Star Is Born
Stars burn off lots of light and heat so much light that we can see them even from really, really real far away. Our sun is the closest star to us here on earth, so far, yet so close. Stars can shine for millions, even billions of years, but they can't shine forever. Eventually, stars run out of fuel and burn through all that gas, slowly fading away. This process can take a really, really, really long time.
