Muhammad's birth is about the year 570 AD or CE. Everybody agrees he dies in 632. In a 100 year period that historians couldn't make up if they tried from 632 to 732, Islam begins its advance. Yes, there were bloody encounters, but there were also encounters where communities welcomed Islam.
