Cedric the Entertainer realized that to sustain a career in Hollywood, he needed to strategically transition from movies to TV to maintain relevancy and have a consistent presence in people's homes. He discusses the different fan energy between being seen as a movie star versus a TV star, where TV creates a sense of familiarity that movies don't provide. Cedric shifted to TV not only for his career, but to be more present with his family rather than being away for months at a time filming movies.
