The Myth of Neurons

A lot of people have the sense that parts of our brains kind of go dormant from time to time, and we're not using them. Neurons are constantly talking to each other; your brain is basically having a conversation with itself throughout your entire life. And information from your body and information from the world merely modulate that ongoing. That is the way the brain works. Everything you experience and everything you do is a combination of what's in the world and in your body because from your brain's perspective, that's outside the skull.
