Do You Have to Exercise for Endurance Training?

When i'm paddling for two hours at a heart rate of a hundred ten to 118 beats a minute for two hours, i get a direct training effect throughout my body that is in proving my efficiency. If i going to be competing in one of these events, i i certainly want to spend some time doing the actual activity. And it's not like these guys are doing it every day. They're doing their one long ride a week and a couple of catch up rides, you know, or one long ride on the week ends and then a catch up ride or two during the week.
