I prefer dying to watching someone die. Being in the audience is worse. It's really unbearable. Every stand-up has had those gigs. I think people often assume that you're... You're great straight away. But the thing is, is everyone's quite bad to start with. Sometimes just an audience thinks... They're not into you. And then it's so personal, because you're like, well, this material works everywhere else. So I suppose it's just my personality. But they're appalled by it.
