The Inevitable Culture Clash of the Germans

The laten know nothingism, again. Somehow lincoln was able to kind of absorb them. Apparently lincoln is the only yankee they admired. Going by solder's letters, they liked lincoln. But, ah, apparently they don't speak well of any othery in the whole group. So this this idea that they were totally the germans, you know, assimilated easily, everything was fine.
