The Universe Is More Than We Sent

At CERN we often have cakes to celebrate things, you know, just finished a big piece of the detector or wow, this multi-million dollar apparatus actually worked. I think maybe it's just part of the European culture or something that we'll in a cake often for these celebrations. On the other hand, there's a real connection between our senses and our knowledge of the universe because philosophically everything that we know about the universe is all informed by things that we saw or tasted or touched or smelled or nibbled on. And we know that the universe out there is more than we do sense.
