The Caldwell Farmer's Welfare Check
Nadia and Peyton moved to the Caldwell farm in May 2017. Nadia was scheduled to pick up some horses on Friday, June 9 but never arrived. Her friends noticed that she'd fallen silent too. When more than a week had passed with no word from the property, authorities were asked to perform a welfare check. Deputies found several dead dogs, cats and pet birds - it appeared as though the animals had starved to death. Other pets, including some rabbits and a snake, were still alive. There was also a foul odor in the air.
