The Electric Blue Dwarf Gheco Clings to the Glass

The electric blue or turquoise dwarf gheco can run up walls and stick to ceilings. They're not doing it like most other lizards who are using claws or similar, by just being essentially a big suction cup. Each of those dark areas on each toe is made of a series of these overlapping folds of skin called la melli. And that's designed to create what are called vanderwil's forces at the end of the thing. That's a weak electrostatic attraction between molecules. But as soon as the gheke wants to lift its foot off, which,  it will want to to bebe to move, it changes the angle, which breaks
