The History and the Status of Self Help
Richard Dawkins: I think self help is basically a corporate version of spirituality. There's a contradiction there between self help as a kind of democratic post Christian spirituality emerging from the transcendentalists and so on, and selfhelp as a commodity. The only realistic way to be to offer self help is to be some sort of Marxist but I don't know if I can get away with that. But nonetheless goldman is worth is worth reading yes.
