Do Virtual Particles Have Mass?
I feel like your answer is very kind of theoretical and seems to be dependent on how you look at things in the universe. What would be a more direct answer for Anthony? I think maybe the Christmas answer is no. No, the virtual particles aren't the dark matter. They're not contributing to the mass of the universe. Instead, just think about them as fields filling the universe. We think they might contribute to dark energy, but we don't really understand by how much. But it is interesting.
