The Importance of Understanding Trade-Offs
The more control you give to the language models and their reasoning abilities, the more that it becomes slightly non-deterministic. The ability to have guardrails around these things is extremely important. Using a hosted model is going to be great for quickly like with minimal resources and validating your use case. For a lot of those types of tradeoffs, it may make more sense then to use a local model.
