Being part of resilient is deciding to make yourself miserable over something that matters. I used this principle in a discussion with my son recently around sort of quitting. It was actually on something that he should quit mindset. And sometimes it's a real type of we walk on in that regard.
Dr. Robert Brooks is a leading expert on resilience. He is a Doctor of Psychology, serves on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, and has authored or co-authored over 19 books. During the past 40 years, Dr. Brooks has also lectured nationally and internationally to thousands of parents, educators, mental health professionals, and business leaders on topics pertaining to motivation, resilience, family relationships, the qualities of effective leaders and executives, and balancing our personal and professional lives.
