The Importance of Maintaining a Repository
When you shop for a new dependency or dependency, one of the things that you will look into is this repository maintained. There are very, very few projects that really took off being maintained by a single person. If they are the exception, they should probably not be a model anyway. Keeping the issue in pull requests count low is a priority for the team.
