The Origins of Reggae

When I was like 16 years old, we were so amazed because the rhythms that you were playing were much different than any rhythms that we had heard in rock music before. It just so happens that reggae and balladie rhythm have a couple of foundational structural components that are very similar. That's my secret sauce, which I didn't realize till years later. And by the way, there's someone else who deserves credit for this introduction of reggae into rock and roll, which was Don Lett's he was a DJ in London. Even punks must chill. There's no such thing as chill punk music.
