The Cycle of Economic Growth
The US economic cycle peaked in rate of change terms. GDP growth on a real basis peaked at 3.3%, which is a little higher than where it's peaked over prior cycles because we had pro-cyclical tax reform. That was also a great time when the cycle peaks to start to buy things like long dated treasury bonds, gold and housing stocks. All COVID did was it accelerated and pulled forward the bottom of the sign curve or thebottom of the economic cycle.
