Is Data Reductionist?
I think of data as like a snapshot of a moment in time. It's not ever actually the full picture. And so we are attempting to take something that is much larger and reducing it to a smaller understanding of that larger thing. I don't know if data has to be, I think you're right about it being reductive of some sort of reality,. But I do still stand strong to it being a reductionist thing.
