Web2 DMs - What's It Worth?
The lens protocol last year implemented XMTP as its secure DM layer. This is kind of where that last part of it kicks in, which is so much of what we talk about in Web2 was this Metcalf's law. It's like the idea that in a network the use of it is proportional to the number of connected users. But if you do not have the network to back it up, then what is it worth? So realizing that communication is just as much, if not more, about network effects as it is technology means that having all of the right people on board is incredibly important.
