We did a study several years ago where we took a group of healthy adults of normative weight and they either gave them a full night of sleep, or we took sleep away for a night. And then when we looked at the brain scan, something fascinating happened. There were the deep hedonic emotional centres of the brain. They were reved up, as a consequence of a lack of sleep,. These sort of impulsive, sort of, you know, almost these addictive brain centers. As a consequence, the under slept people were stort of no longer reaching for leafy greens
