What Do You Still Need to Learn From Yanda?
Yanda's description of the rehabilitation process is still valid. Yanda always said the first thing to do was to make sure that the quality of afferents is adequate and good. We must then observe the central nervous system in its processing function, how well it processes the inclement information. And then we must look at the output. What is the motor outcome of that process? Many times in rehabilitation we focus on the outcome with no change to input. The stressor, any afferent change is a stress upon the system.
